What our guests say about 'Tigh Haraidh'
In the six years since we opened the cottage we have welcomed many guests to 'Tigh Haraidh' and it's always a pleasure to read comments in the Visitors Book after they have departed. Many have come back time and time again and so we have shown below a small taste of the kind words that our guests, and friends, have left. We hope it gives a flavour of our cottage in this very special corner of Skye.
Thank you for a lovely stay at the cottage. We really enjoyed ourselves, and very relaxing. We will take back some great memories to Manchester with us. Thanks for the wine.

We have had a lovely week at Tigh Haraidh-it couldn’t be any more comfortable or better equipped. The girls verdict “fantastic”! They have particularly enjoyed their rock clambering skills and we have all loved spotting the wildlife, mostly in the rain! The view from the cottage and the sound of the sea are the perfect way to relax. Many thanks for the wine and chocolates.

Had a great week at this lovely well equipped cottage. Thanks Christine for the very warm welcome, the bottle of wine and the feel of home while watching the sea in front of the house. Did several walks, would recommend the walk to the Point of Sleat, Boreraig and Suishnish and the walk to Leitir Fura and Camusunary (from Kirkibost). Mixed Spring weather so did some work-outs on the Fitness Channel- yoga, hip-hop and karate! Visited Armadale Castle and Gardens, at Clan Donald Skye, well worth the day. We will definitely be back.

“ Did I just die and come to heaven?” These were the exact words after tasting Christine’s cake! What a lovely cottage and so tastefully decorated. The hostess has thought of everything a guest might need. The cherry on the cake was discovering Armadale Castle. After busy days of sight-seeing (there is so much to do here) it has been lovely to return to this peaceful cottage in a quite beautiful location. Thank you!

What a wonderful place, superb views, peace and quiet, and has everything to make your holiday worry-free. The island is a lovely peaceful place and takes you away from the bustle of everyday life. We have seen dolphins, seals and deer. Brilliant beaches, great walks and especially the beach at Tarskavaig. Elmo, our dog, is looking forward to going home for a rest. Christine and Calum make you feel so welcome, and especially nice to have flowers, a bottle of wine and chocolates on your arrival. The lemon drizzle cake was lush! We will be back with that there is no doubt. To top it all the weather was superb.
We’ve had a lovely relaxing break, the Isle of Skye is perfect when it comes to getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The views are absolutely stunning everywhere you go. The cottage itself is wonderful, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable and we would recommend it to anyone. Thankyou Christine for your kind hospitality.

We have had mixed weather but managed to get a few nights sitting out on the deck. We’ve seen lots of birds including herons and buzzards, alas no dolphins and seals (they must be on holiday too!). We can recommend the bar meals at Hotel Eilean Iarmain. We would like to thank Calum and Christine for the use of their lovely cottage, also thank you for the wine and the chocolates, they went down very well. You thought of everything.

An excellent cottage in a wonderful location, very well equipped , and thank you for the wine and chocolates on arrival. Had a lovely time exploring Skye from north to south, and ate very well at the Three Chimneys and Kinloch-Lodge. We would recommend both the cottage and the location to anyone. Thank you.

We had another lovely comfortable week, staying in this superb cottage. We feel at home as soon as we arrive. I’m sure we will be back for another ‘fix’ of Sleat. Thank you for looking after us for the past 18 months, and do call by and have a cuppa with us.

Four consecutive days of blue sky and sunshine, followed by snow. We couldn’t have planned the week any better. We enjoyed lots of great walks, including watching a seal and two otters at the gorgeous sandy beach at the Point of Sleat, our Labrador’s favourite beach. Hiked Ben Aslak overlooking Kylerhea and Sleat, and great views despite the snow showers ,and had great views of Knoydart and the Sound. The sunset across Rum from the track to Camusunary was lovely. The wildlife watching from the comfort of the sofa was great, lots of cormorants and divers, in their winter plumage. The cottage has been a home from home, we’ve have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in such a well-equipped and comfortable place. The wine and chocs were lovely, Thank you, a fabulous holiday!

A lovely warm welcome from Christine with a delicious cake and a delightful bottle of wine that I shared with Maria, on our last holiday before She moved over to Zimbabwe. Mother and daughter memories forever - and of course lots of lovely walkers for our Yorkshire Terrier, DJ! Thanks a lot and if you are considering it, enjoy this delightful holiday for all ages!
No thought needs to be put into wether or not this would be rated as a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 holiday!!😊😊
